In a dual broadcast system the decorative quartz granules are bonded on top of a colored epoxy or colored polyaspartic. Quartz aggregate is available in fine q28 and coarse q11 sizes. Decorative quartz system decospec quartzcast is a nominal 1 8 double broadcast floor system created by the combination of multi colored quartz aggregates and 100 solids epoxy and optional polyaspartic and urethane top coats. Decorative colored quartz systems are normally done in a dual broadcast. Our beautiful colored quartz blend and resin system offers the extraordinary strength and impact resistance of an aggregate filled floor and can be applied using broadcast slurry or trowel. Once the excess granules are removed an intermediate layer is applied using a clear epoxy or clear polyaspartic to bind the 2nd layer of quartz granules. Decorative epoxy quartz systems are a great option for wet areas such as showers and pool decks or locations in need of more traction while providing great durability such as food prep areas where oils and food particles are frequently splattered on the floor.
